Warning to the Curious, A
Clark, Lawrence Gordon
Dim the lights, stoke up the fire and settle down for a classic chiller from the BBC's much loved 'Ghost Story for Christmas' series.
Based on a story by the master of the supernatural tale, M R James, A Warning to the Curious tells the tale of three fabled crowns buried on the Norfolk coast which, according to legend, protect England from invasion. When an amateur archaeologist goes treasure hunting for the last remaining crown, he digs up more than he bargained for... An eerie, atmospheric production which builds to a terrifying climax.
A Warning to the Curious is part of the Archive Television strand, a series of releases from the BFI aiming to provide access to key television programmes preserved in the National Archive.
Extras
A reading of the original M R James story by Michael Hordern.
